Market players reported that the decreases in demand are stable, there are very few new sales contracts made, but the exports of the existing contracts accelerated. The lack of sales contracts is seen as a reaction to the price levels, but on the other hand, it is stated that exporters are also hesitant in sales as they cannot make predictions about the market and currency situations. The export offer prices remained therefore at the levels of last week. It has been added that raw material prices are around 55 – 60 TL/kg, but there are differences in quality product prices.

Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.37 TL (13.39 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 14.92 TL levels (15.15 last week).

Turkey exported 1220 mt of dried figs and figs products, being 1302 mt during the same week of last year. The total exports range at 35.980 mt, being 36.605 mt in total in the same period the previous year.
