EU soybean imports from Ukraine is at a historic high. According to operational data, in September-February 2022/23 MY there were 1.9 mln tonnes of Ukrainian soybeans booked for export, which is the highest volume for the past three seasons.
51% of this volume or 981 thousand tonnes of soybeans were imported by the EU countries, which is a historic high.
Moreover, in the reporting period according to the European Commission, Ukraine rose from 4th to 3rd place among the suppliers of soybeans to the EU, accounting for 13% of the total volume of imports, compared to only 4% in September-February 2021/22 MY.
