Grain Market Falls for the 6th Consecutive Day

European Grain Markets

• The wheat, the first product that comes to mind when it comes to grain market, continued its free fall in Paris and despite initial persistence yesterday, eventually fell for the sixth consecutive day
• For the sixth day in a row, the corn market is also falling, or at least for the old crop, as long as the new crop manages to find strength and breaks the black streak
• After a “fatal” 13 consecutive days of losses in which it wiped €120 off its value, its enviable black streak finally managed to break the rapeseed market as well

American Grain Markets

• How resilient rape’s firmness will be be seen, but in the meantime, Chicago’s soybean, meal and oil have in turn shared the same sad experience, collapsing massively in turn
• Wheat and corn markets are also falling, but they show a willingness to fight and at least try to contain the decline

Black Sea Grain Markets

• Grain exports from Ukraine continue to grow, with 530kt for the period 1-20 March alone, against 520kt in February and 385kt in January
• Due to the record grain stocks, the Russian authorities are considering a sharp increase in purchases from the Intervention Fund
