Current Scenario

In Methi (Fenugreek) last week, prices in all Indian markets increased because arrivals have reduced considerably. Arrivals of new crops will start only after Holi Festival on 18th March 2022.

Future

Demand in Methi is good right now in the Domestic and International market. If the demand for Fenugreek remains good, it can increase further.

Since the prices of Fenugreek are at a lower level compared to other spices, farmers are interested in selling cumin, coriander, chilli, and other high-value crops in priority and will sell Fenugreek slowly. Therefore, the arrival of the new crop, fenugreek will increase gradually.

Arrivals:

Total arrivals of the week are 13.27 tonnes, and the maximum was from Gujarat – 13.17 tonnes.
