The European Union Has Reduced Purchases of Rapeseed Oil

From July 1 to December 18 this year. EU countries purchased almost 250 thousand tons of rapeseed oil, which is 50 thousand tons less than in the same period last year. Such data were published by the experts of the European Commission in their monitoring.

As follows from the materials of experts, in the reporting period, Lithuania, Poland and Latvia imported the most rapeseed oil – 58.1 thousand tons, 57.9 thousand tons and 51.9 thousand tons, respectively.

Belarus turned out to be the main supplier of the product to the EU (share – 45.8%), which sent 113.8 thousand tons of oil to the block countries – twice as much as it was in the same months last year.

Ukraine occupied the second position (16.6%), significantly reducing the number of shipments, from 124.5 thousand tons (July 1 – December 18, 2021) to 41.3 thousand tons.

The UK closes the top three (15.6%) – their deliveries were at the level of 38.9 thousand tons against 35.3 thousand tons a year earlier.
