The price of Iranian barberry for export has increased significantly in world markets compared to last month. The decrease in this year’s barberry production is the most crucial reason for the rise in the price of this product over the past month. This year’s barberry harvest, which was done in October, fell sharply due to spring stress as well as summer drought. Some factors led to an increase in the price of Iranian barberry for export, including a decrease in production and an increase in export demand due to the New Year, as well as a rise in domestic demand for this product over the past month. Compared to last month, the price of Iranian puffed barberry has gone up by about 28 per cent, and the price of Iranian Sun-dried barberry has risen by about 13.5 per cent.
