In Argentina, farmers have already contracted almost 62% of the soybeans of the 2021/22 crop, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture said.
According to the agency, in the period from 8 to 14 September, farmers sold 2.3 million tons of oilseeds from last season, compared with 2.1 million tons a week earlier.
It is specified that in the last week of August, sales amounted to only 268 thousand tons , but oilseed sales increased after the country’s government began to stimulate the export of soybeans by improving the exchange rate of the Argentine peso.
