Market players reported that figs are sold out and that the products are now mainly in the exporters’ stocks. Not much activity is expected at raw material prices anymore. Exporters continue to abstain from giving price offers. They added that there may be an increase in costs and that the exchange rate is significant; the prices could change in case of any fluctuations in the currencies. The exporters are calm for the moment. The export offer prices slightly increased this week. The raw material prices remained at 55 – 60 TL/kg levels, but there are differences in quality product prices.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 13.55 TL (13.37 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.49 TL levels (14.92 last week).
Turkey exported 1473 mt of dried figs and figs products, being 1457 mt during the same week of last year. The total exports range at 37.435 mt, being 38.061 mt in total in the same period the previous year.
