All market participants who hoped for lower prices have expected in vain. The hoped-for relief due to the harvest in Ukraine has not materialised. Raw material prices for sunflower seeds (oil products) in Ukraine are around 0.53/kg and rising. Prices for hulled goods are at 1.05/kg FCA Ukraine. In addition, transport prices continue to increase, currently about 1 EUR per kilometre for a FCL.
Considering that many market participants have not yet concluded purchase contracts in Europe and China, it does not take much fantasy to know in which direction prices will continue to develop.
