DALIAN: According to customs statistics, China’s kidney bean exports in August 2021 were approximately 2,187.70 tons, a decrease of roughly 931.18 tons from July, a decrease of 29.86% from the previous month; a decrease of 2898.96 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 56.99% year-on-year.
From January to August, China’s total export volume of kidney beans was 43435.58 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 64.04%. Judging from the export situation in August, the top three trading partners in export volume were South Korea, India, and Italy.
Among them, exports to South Korea were 606.44, accounting for 27.72; exports to India were 312.20 tons, accounting for 14.27%; exports to Italy 241.50 tons, accounting for 11.04%. In terms of export trading partners from January to August, the top three are India, Italy, and Yemen. Among them, exports to India were 1,5009.93 tons, ranking first, accounting for 34.56% of total exports; exports to Italy were 3,61.73 tons, ranking second, accounting for 8.43%; exports to Yemen, 3009 tons, accounting for 6.93%. Italy is China’s largest importer of British red, and 70% of British red enters the Italian market.
