Dalian: According to market sources, the price of sunflower seed kernels has recently started to rise due to the impact of the rising costs of sunflower seeds. The market is unstable and in a period of shock. Manufacturers operate cautiously and wait for the market to stabilize. The main reason is that the output of sunflower seeds in Xinjiang has been dramatically reduced.

The domestic demand from winter to early Spring Festival is significant, and the price of sunflower seeds will not fall in the short term but will rise instead. This week, the FOB Dalian or Tianjin price of confectionary-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1.580-1.620/ton, and the FOB Tianjin or Dalian price of bakery-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1.630-1.670/ton. Recently, inquiries have gradually increased, and the transaction volume is not significant. The peak sales season is approaching mainly in the domestic market. Export orders mostly come from the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Domestic market demand supports prices.
