BEIJING: Foreign media news on October 25: Brazilian consulting agency AgRural released data showing that the soybean planting progress in Brazil accelerated last week.
As of October 21, Brazil’s soybean planting progress in 2021/22 reached 38%, 16 percentage points higher than the previous week’s 22%, setting the second highest planting progress in the same period in history, second only to the same period in 2018/19 schedule.
Irregular rains in Brazil during the planting season last year caused the slow planting of soybeans.
AgRural said the soybean planting area has increased by 6.2 million hectares in the past week. With sufficient soil moisture, growers took advantage of the sunny weather last week to speed up planting.
