ODESA: According to the Association of Elevators of Ukraine, this season, the volume of accepted sunflower seeds increased by 2.6 times compared to the same period last year.
The price range for sunflower in Ukraine with delivery to the plant is 18.500 – 19.500 UAH / t.
Farmers remember last year price jump and prefer to keep the stocks despite increasing prices for elevators services. The level of sales is relatively low. The expectation of prices by agricultural producers is at the level of 20.000 – 21.000 UAH / t.
For the moment, farmers finished harvesting sunflower in Ukraine on 95% of the area – 6.2 million hectares. They have threshed 14.7 million tons, which is lower than the expected 16.2-16.8 million tons.
