Orders increased in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe, while orders in the US market decreased. This year, Xinjiang’s sunflower seed production areas have reduced production on a large scale, and traders predict that the price of sunflower seeds will not decline in the short term. This week, the FOB Dalian or Tianjin price of confectionary-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1640-1680/ton, and the FOB Tianjin or Dalian price of bakery-grade sunflower seed kernels is US$1610-1650/ton. The increase in domestic market demand has supported prices.
