ODESA: The sharp rise in oil prices at the beginning of this week supported oilseeds markets. Rapeseed futures are increasing, breaking the record again. The so-called “Christmas rally” continues on the stock exchanges. On the eve of a long weekend, investors buy stocks, and traders make speculative purchases of goods.
Ukrainian agrarians have already sold the vast majority o their rapeseeds stocks. Traders can hardly collect significant volumes now for export. The offers are coming at the market mainly for small lots up to 1000 mts. Nevertheless, Ukrainian rapeseed also showed a significant increase. Some traders and oil producers are ready to raise their purchasing prices by 25-30$/t this week. Farmers can get up to 670 $/t for their crop delivered to main ports or factories.
