Dalian: According to market participants, the sales of sunflower kernels increased during the Spring Festival due to the influence of the Chinese New Year catering. Before the Spring Festival, new orders for the export market of sunflower seeds decreased, and the domestic market was sold out before the Spring Festival. Domestic demand increases during the Spring Festival, and domestic trade drives foreign trade. Sunflower kernels from Ukraine and Russia did not arrive in Hong Kong during the Spring Festival, so they could not impact the price of the Chinese market, and the price remained high. This week, the price of confectionary-grade sunflower kernels FOB Dalian or Tianjin is 1.660-1.710 US dollars/ton, and the price of baking grade sunflower kernels FOB Tianjin or Dalian is 1.610-1.650 US dollars/ton.
