WASHINGTON, January 27: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export sales report showed that total U.S. soybean export sales to China (mainland) decreased by 26.6% year-on-year, compared with a 27.5% year-on-year decrease in the previous week. As of January 20, 2022, 2021/22 (starting on September 1), soybean export shipments from the United States to China (mainland region) were 22.122 million tons, compared with 31.041 million tons in the same period last year. The United States shipped 845.000 tons of soybeans to China that week, compared with 1.251 million tons of soybeans shipped to China the previous week.
The amount of 2021/22 soybeans sold by the United States to China but not shipped so far is 3.302 million tons, down from 3.616 million tons in the same period last year. So far in 2021/22, total U.S. soybean sales to China (shipped and unloaded) are 25.424 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.6%. U.S. soybean sales to China in 2022/23 were 723.000 tons, up 198.000 tons from a week earlier.
