At the same time last year, only 16.4% of the cultivated area was harvested.
It is noted that the average yield of the South American oilseed crop so far is 2.1 t / ha.
At the same time, against the background of continued dry weather conditions in Argentina and South America as a whole, experts have made adjustments to the gross harvest of Argentine sunflower seeds in the current season, lowering the estimate by 200 thousand tonnes to 3.3 million tonnes, which is 2.9% lower than in the previous season.
