The gross harvest of Argentine sunflower seeds exceeded 1 million tonnes as of the reporting date. It is noted that the average sunflower yield in Argentina is now 2,09 to/ha. “Field progress was hampered by the rainfall observed in the country last week,” the report says.
According to preliminary forecasts by experts at the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, sunflower production in Argentina will reach 3.3 million tonnes in 2022. At the same time, the estimate may be increased in the near future against the background of a possible improvement in crop yields in the coming weeks.
