The authorities of Poland and Ukraine intend to jointly prepare a project for the construction of a pipeline for transporting vegetable oils from Ukrainian territory to the port of Gdansk. This was announced on Tuesday by the Council of Ministers (government) of the republic, writes TASS.
The government agreed to sign an intergovernmental memorandum “concerning the development of a cross-border pipeline project for transporting vegetable oils from Ukraine to the port of Gdansk,” the report said.
“The implementation of the memorandum will lead to a partial unblocking of Ukrainian exports and an increase in food security in developing countries that are threatened by famine. As a result, this should reduce the migration pressure on Europe, ” the Polish government hopes.
To implement the project, it is planned to create a working group, which should work out options for the pipe laying route, present technical parameters and requirements.
