In the southeast of the island of Sicily (Italy), on the basis of the ISAB refinery complex, which belongs to NK Lukoil, biodiesel fuel based on palm oil will be produced. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the company.

“This renewable fuel element (palm oil) reduces the carbon footprint of the end product and makes efficient use of the by-products of oil production,” explains NC.

According to the company’s message, the biofuel obtained by adding palm oil fully complies with all Lukoil quality standards.

Recall that the ISAB complex is Europe’s third largest oil refining complex. It includes two oil refineries, united by a pipeline system and integrated into a single technological complex with a capacity of 16 million tons of raw materials per year, as well as three sea berths and a tank farm with a capacity of 3.7 million cubic meters.
