Iran has banned the import of 2,150 products ranging from iron and steel to glassware, meat and milk to wheat. Iran, which imports 4864 types of products on the basis of 8-GTİP, banned the import of 2150 products in October to prevent foreign currency outflow.

Will affect Turkish exporters

The decision of Iran, whose oil and natural gas exports contracted as a result of the US sanctions, to cut imports for luxury consumption put Turkish industrialists, who export over 2 billion dollars to this country annually, in a difficult situation.

To minimize foreign currency outflow

In the last week of October, the Ministry of Commerce announced that Iran had decided to ban the import of luxury goods that are not considered essential.
