According to the estimates of the European Commission experts, during the period December 26-January 1, the EU countries increased rapeseed imports to 180 thousand tons compared to 99.7 thousand tons the previous week.
Germany (70 thousand tons) and Spain (54 thousand tons) bought the main volumes of oilseeds last week.
In general, since the beginning of the current marketing year (as of January 1), the EU countries have imported 3.73 million tons of rapeseed, which is 1 million tons more than in the same period last season (2.7 million tons).
It is noted that the volume of oilseed supplies from Ukraine in 2022/23 MY increased to 2.4 million tons against 1.5 million tons for the same period of the previous season, from Australia – up to 1.05 (0.53) million tons. In turn, the supply of Canadian crops decreased to 136 (419) thousand tons.
