Planted areas under rapeseed in France may grow by 9% compared to the previous year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the country reports.
As experts of the Ministry specify, in 2023 about 1.34 million hectares will be allocated for oilseeds, which is 0.05 million hectares more than the experts expected in their previous document.
Experts estimate sowing areas of wheat at 4.76 million hectares against 4.75 million hectares in December, which is also by 2% more than in 2022 and by 0.4% – the average of sowing areas for the last 5 years.
Spring barley will be sown on 1.34 million hectares (+3.7% YoY), durum wheat on 233,000 hectares (-4.8% YoY).
