TIANJIN: Market researchers reported that the price of sunflower seeds continued to rise, reaching a record high in the Chinese market. The current export standard for sunflower seeds already exceeds $1,900 per ton. The main reason for the price rise is both speculation by traders and the decline in production. Exporters predict that prices will not fall in the near term.
This week’s export standard is 361 sunflower seeds, 200-210 seeds / 50 g. Reference export prices are $1,880-1,900/ton, and $190-200 seeds/50G is $1,890-1,930/ton. Attention should be paid to the changes in the later market price.
