Oil extraction plants in Canada processed about 812 thousand tons of canola by the end of last month. Compared to the results of January this year, this indicator decreased by 63 thousand tons (-7%). This is reported by analysts of the National Statistics Service (Statistics Canada).
Against the backdrop of reduced processing of raw materials in the country, there was also a decrease in output of finished products: in particular, the production of canola oil in the reporting period is estimated at 336.9 thousand tons (-7% per month), and meal at 481.9 thousand tons (-8%).
Recall that last year, according to Statistics Canada, Canada processed 8.8 million tons of canola: 3.7 million tons of oil and more than 5 million tons of meal were produced.
