According to the Conab monitoring, as of June 3, Brazil harvested safrinha corn in 1% of the planned area, which is lower than the previous year’s result (3%).
As noted, the grain harvesting campaign is currently underway only in Mato Grosso state. At the same time, the grain harvested in the region demonstrates quite high yields and quality.
It is also reported that the harvesting of corn the first harvest in the country as of the reporting date was completed in 83% of the planned areas (+1% per week), compared to 87% a year earlier.
The wheat planting in Brazil has already been completed on 41% of the planned area (+6% for the week; 39% – a year earlier). It is noted that the rains in Rio Grande do Sul contributed to the intensification of fieldwork in the region, and the grain crops in Paraná state are mostly in good condition.
