Palm Oil Association of Indonesia (GAPKI) estimated the April export of palm oil from the country at 2.1 million tons, which is 19% less than the result of the previous month.
The decrease in shipments is explained by the reduction of production in the month to 4.5 million tons (-5% to the level of March). However, this result is 8% higher than in April 2022.
The volume of domestic consumption of palm oil in Indonesia in April amounted to 1.9 million tons (+5% per month, +6% per year).
The stock of palm oil in the country as of the end of April is estimated at 3.6 million tons (+16% per month, -41% per year).
