Ukraine presented an ambitious plan to increase grain and oilseed production to 150 million tons in 10 years.

The Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Vysotsky, presented the Strategy for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex for the Next Ten Years. It took place at the International Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine held in London.

The strategy for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine envisages full vertical integration with ensuring the production of the necessary material and technical resources and means of production. Also, the growth of grain and oilseed production to 150 million tons in 10 years. As a result, the increase in domestic processing and production of animal husbandry and horticulture products. The total investment portfolio is 57 billion dollars.

Taras Vysotsky highlighted the Strategy envisages restoration of irrigation for agricultural lands affected by the explosion of the Kakhovska Dam. Also – gradual substitution of imported food products on the domestic market. In addition, the Strategy envisages the development of green energy – full processing of secondary waste and production of up to 10 billion m3 of biomethane.
