According to AgRural experts, the harvesting campaign of safrinha corn in Brazil as of June 25 was completed on 9.3% of the planned areas (+4.6% per week), Apkinform reports.

As noted, the main fieldwork is currently underway in Mato Grosso state, but its pace is significantly lower than last year when in the same period the harvesting campaign in the region was already carried out on 20.3% of the area.

It is also noted that the harvesting of safrinha corn has begun in other states in the center and south of Brazil, but there are delays in the work due to high soil moisture.

According to the forecast of AgRural experts, the harvest of safrinha corn in Brazil in the current year should reach 97.9 mln tonnes, and the total grain harvest could reach 127.4 mln tonnes.
