The last inspections of ships at the entrance to the “grain corridor” were carried out on June 28: they were the Turkish bulker TQ Samsun and TK Majestic under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which were headed to the port of Odesa, reports Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the data of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC).
“In the return direction, two inspections were carried out in July – on July 4, the dry cargo Akdeniz M with 30 thsd tonnes of wheat to Türkiye from Odesa, and on July 2 the dry cargo Agapi S with 55.88 thsd tonnes of corn to the Netherlands from the port of Chornomorsk” – indicated in message.
According to published data, there are currently seven more ships in the “grain corridor” that have already left the ports of Odessa and Chornomorsk with agricultural products (three of them to China and one each to India, Türkiye, Djibouti, and France), and three are loaded or following to specified ports.
32.8 million tonnes of agri-products exported
In general, according to the JCC, during the operation of the “grain corridor” from the beginning of August, 32.8 mln tonnes of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine, including 16.81 mln tonnes of corn, 8.91 mln tonnes of wheat, 1.86 mln tonnes of sunflower meal, 1.65 mln tonnes of sunflower oil, 1.27 mln tonnes of barley, 0.99 mln tonnes of rapeseed and 0.80 mln tonnes of soybeans.
A total of 1`001 ships left Ukrainian ports during the period of the grain initiative, in particular, 5 in July, 38 in June, 33 in May, and 64 in April, while the peak was recorded in September-October last year – 178 and 180 ships respectively. At the same time, since May, due to the position of the Russian side, the deepest Ukrainian port “Pivdenny” has been excluded from the grain agreement.
