As of August 1, 2023, wheat stocks in Kazakhstan amounted to 4.77 mln tonnes. This is almost 2 times higher than last year (2.45 mln tonnes), reports APK-Inform with reference to the data of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The stocks declined by 590 thsd tonnes compared to July 2023.
In general, by the beginning of August 2023, in Kazakhstan, the stocks of grains and pulses amounted to 5.94 mln tonnes (against 3.06 mln tonnes as of August 1, 2023).
In particular, barley stocks amounted to 889 thsd tonnes, rye – 24 thsd tonnes, oats – 60 thsd tonnes.
The stocks of corn fell to 62`000 tonnes, buckwheat – to 32`000 tonnes, millet – remained at the level of July (5`000 tonnes), and rice – almost halved to 28`000 tonnes.
