Last month the Argentina oil-extraction enterprises processed about 2.5 million tons of soybeans, which is 17% lower than the result of June and 26% less than the final value of July 2022. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGyP) of the country.
Thus, according to the agency, the output of soybean oil in Argentina in the reporting period amounted to just over 493 thousand tons (-15% per month, -26% to the figure in July 2022), soybean meal – 1.8 million tons (-14%; -28%).
Overall, the country’s soybean processing fell by a quarter to 17.5 million tons in the first 7 months of this year. Production of finished products also decreased: oil by 27%, to 3.3 million tons, and meal by 24%, to 12.7 million tons.
