Spread the news!

According to the expectations of the Ministry of Agriculture of Germany, the grain harvest in the country may decrease in the current year due to the influence of the prolonged period of unfavorable weather conditions – first drought, and then precipitation, XM reports.

Thus, the production of grain crops, including corn, may decrease by 2.9% over the year, to 42.23 million tons.

In particular, the wheat harvest may be reduced by 6%, to 20.77 million tons, due to the unfavorable impact of precipitation in late summer, which also worsened the quality of the grain. Thus, the protein content of winter wheat will decrease to 11.7% compared to 11.9% last year.
