The Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine signed a protocol with the Ministry of Transport of Norway on “transport visa-free”.
According to the new protocol, two-way and transit cargo transportation will be carried out without permits.
Ukraine is increasing the list of countries with which “transport visa-free” actually operates to 35. Previously, Ukrainian carriers of goods, regardless of the environmental class of vehicles, could travel to Norway only with a special permit. Now, trucks of the Euro-5 standard and above, can enter Norway unauthorized. Liberalization of freight transportation will be effective at least until June 30, 2024.
The simplified regime comes into effect on September 1, 2023.
To use the “transport visa-free”, the carrier must have a certificate confirming the environmental class of the truck.
For vehicles of a lower environmental class, it is also possible to carry out transportation. Ukrainian carriers will be able to obtain 250 universal permits and 50 from/to third countries.
