Dalian: Exporters reported a small decline in sunflower kernel prices as a large number of sunflower seeds entered the market in the 2023 season in China. Domestic market demand is beginning to increase and sunflower seed prices will gradually stabilise. However, November, December, and January are the peak export periods.
This week, the reference price for confectionery-grade sunflower seeds is US$1,560-1,590 per tonne, FOB Dalian or Tianjin. The reference price for bakery-grade sunflower seeds is US$1,540-1560 per tonne, FOB Tianjin or Dalian.
