The majority of flour mills in Ukraine continue to gradually increase their purchasing prices for milling wheat this week.
This situation is due to the insufficient offers on the market as farmers restrain their sales. High competition for grain between processing and export-oriented companies was also created by a gradual increase in grain prices on the export market.
However, it is worth noting that the increase in the price of milling wheat could be more significant in this situation. But producers are still facing difficulties with the sale of flour due to moderate consumer demand and its significant accumulation.
Thus, as of December 14, demand prices for 2nd and 3rd-class wheat are most often fixed within the range of 6,000-7,300 UAH/t (148-1800EUR/t) and 5,500-6,700 UAH/t (136-165 EUR/t) on CPT basis, respectively. This is 100-200 UAH/t higher than the indicators of the end of last week.
Exporters are purchasing milling wheat in ports Reni/Izmail at level 220-230 USD/T (€200-210 EUR/t) on an FOB basis.
