On January 1, 2014, wheat stocks in Kazakhstan stood at 11.86 mln tonnes. This is 9% lower than a year earlier (13.06 million tonnes), reports with reference to data from the National Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, stocks of milling wheat in Kazakhstan at the beginning of the current year amounted to 8.49 million tonnes, and feed wheat – 2.25 million tonnes. Seed wheat stocks totalled 938.3 thousand tonnes.
Latest situation in grain stocks
On the same date, stocks of barley totalled 1.81 million tonnes, rye – 24.2 million tonnes, oats – 144 thousand tonnes, maize – 230 thousand tonnes, millet – 23.5 thousand tonnes and rice – 274.5 thousand tonnes.
At the beginning of this year, there were 14.53 million tonnes of cereals and pulses available in Kazakhstan (against 15.77 million tonnes on 1 January 2023).
