On February 15, near the international checkpoint “Yagodin – Dorogusk” on the border of Ukraine with Poland, a peaceful protest of Ukrainian carriers began. They gathered in response to the actions of Polish farmers, who have blocked 6 checkpoints for Ukrainian cargoes.
The protest started at approximately 11:00. As specified, 15 trucks from Ukrainian carriers and approximately 20 cars arrived at the border.
Carriers and drivers who joined the protest plan to stop the movement of Polish truck drivers in Ukraine who bypass the general queue at the specified checkpoint. The Ukrainian protesters call on Polish farmers to end the border blockade. They also put forward a number of demands to the authorities. In particular, they ask to ensure the personal safety of Ukrainian drivers, as well as the preservation of cargo and vehicles blocked by the Polish side.
Law enforcement officers are on duty at the place of the action. It is not yet known how long the action will last. Previously, Ukrainian carriers plan to stay at the border until March 10.
