DALIAN: Stable Sunflower Seed Prices Despite Declining Exports
Market participants report little change since the end of the holiday on October 11th. While inquiries from domestic and international food manufacturers have increased, export volumes are down compared to last year’s period. This is mainly due to price differences between China and Europe. However, with cooler weather expected in the coming weeks, exports are anticipated to pick up by mid-to-late October. Domestic demand is also expected to rise as winter approaches gradually.
Prices remain stable. This week, reference prices for confectionery-grade sunflower seeds at Tianjin or Dalian ports range between €1,026 and €1,140 per ton, while baking-grade sunflower seeds are priced between €1,035.50 and €1,073.50 per ton.
