Experts of the National Exporters Association Anec predict that this month Brazil will send to foreign markets about 13.1 million tons of soybeans according to AgriCensus.

So, last month the country could sell to foreign markets about 15.1 million tons of oilseeds, experts said earlier Anec. At the same time, they believe that the final shipment data (after the official publication) may be 14.1 million tons. In this case, this value will exceed the level of April 2023 by 0.2 million tons, and May 2022 by almost 4 million tons.

Moreover, in June Brazil may export 1.66 million tons of corn, which will be much higher than in May (493.4 thousand tons) and the result of the corresponding month of the previous year (1.51 million tons).

“From June 4 to 10, 225.2 thousand tons were prepared for shipment in ports in Brazil, compared to 45.9 thousand tons a week earlier,” says the report.

This year, industry experts expect that Brazil will be able to harvest a record bean crop – more than 150 million tons. This will allow the country to increase the supply of both raw materials and finished products (oil and meal) for the world market.

Brazil is currently the largest producer of soybeans in the world. The tropical climate and relative availability of space make this region ideal for growing not only soybeans but also corn – but these two crops predominantly go to foreign markets, covering most of the needs of the entire world market.
