Imports of vegetable oil to Azerbaijan in the period from January to November 2022 amounted to over 106.5 thousand tons, which is almost 6.5% lower than in the eleven months of last year according to Goskomstat’s analysts.
According to representatives of the department, the total value of oil imported into the country amounted to $ 183.6 million (an increase of 17.8%).
At the same time, during the reporting period, 7,000 tons of these products were also sent from Azerbaijan to foreign markets (-29.9% by January-November 2021).
According to experts of the State Statistics Committee, traders received about $ 13.3 million – this is less than 0.5% lower than the level of January-November 2021.
The department noted that for 11 months of this year, 1.2 million tons of wheat were also imported into the country – this is about 15% higher than in the same period of 2021.
“At the same time, in November 2022, the volume of imports amounted to 211,683 thousand tons for $ 68 million (in October 2022 – 212,074 thousand tons for $ 67 million 943.2 thousand – IF). Thus, in November, a ton of wheat was purchased by Azerbaijan for $321.23. In general, the average price for purchased wheat in January-November amounted to $ 340.77 per ton,” the report said.
