The Baltic states support the inclusion of Russian and Belarusian grain in the next EU sanctions package. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania Marius Skuodis after a meeting with his Latvian and Estonian counterparts, TV3.lt reports.

According to M. Skuodis, on 17 January, he discussed the issue of strengthening sanctions against Russia and Belarus with Estonian Climate Minister Kristen Mihal and Latvian Transport Minister Kaspars Briskens.

“We agreed that we need to coordinate all actions with each other, avoiding individual national initiatives, and continue to exchange information on the transport sector, both grain and other,” he added.
