Polish farmers continue to block truck traffic, allowing several trucks per hour in both directions at all checkpoints.
Andriy Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Service, reported that there are already 2,250 trucks in queues on the territory of Poland.
The protesters are blocking 6 checkpoints. In general, Polish protesters do not allow trucks coming from Ukraine through the Yahodyn checkpoint. In recent days, there have been zero departure from Ukraine. In the past day, 65 trucks crossed the border to enter Ukraine in this direction. This is an extremely low rate of crossing the border through this checkpoint. Its throughput capacity is 1,200-1,400 trucks per day in both directions.
According to Mr.Demchenko, the rate of crossing the border is also very low due to the actions of Polish farmers in the direction of the Sheghini checkpoint. Only 45 trucks crossed the border here in both directions over the past day.
On February 28, there are 2,250 trucks in queues on the territory of Poland, most of them in front of the “Krakowiec”, “Yagodyn” and “Rava-Ruska” checkpoints. Cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere. For this category of transport, movement on the other side of the border is not restricted.
