Brazil has completed the 2022 wheat harvest, and for the second year in a row, production reached a record high . Thus, according to Conab experts, the grain harvest amounted to 9.5 million tons , which is 24% higher than in 2021.
In particular, it is noted that in the states of Parana and Rio Grande do Sul , which are the main regions of wheat production in the country ( 86% of the total), grain production amounted to 3.5 million tons and 4.7 million tons , respectively, while the annual yield increase is estimated at 9% and 36% .
It is also predicted that against the backdrop of high wheat production, farmers in these states will continue to expand the sown area under grain in the coming season.
