Brazil Soybean Exports in 2022 Amounted to 77.8 Million Tons

Over 1.5 million tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil to foreign markets in December 2022 compared to the previous month’s shipment of South American oilseeds decreased by 0.4 million tons, and by 1 million tons by December 2021. Analysts of the National Association of Grain Exporters Anec released these data.

“The total export of soybeans from Brazil in 2022 is estimated at 77.8 million tons against 86.6 million tons in 2021. It is noted that 70% of this volume is supplied to China,” – Anec said.

As for soybean meal shipments, last month’s figures were at 1.37 million tons versus 1.35 million tons in November and 1.54 million tons in December 2021.

“Total exports of the product for the year reached 20.42 million tons (+3.54 million tons by 2021),” specialists specified.

In addition, according to Anec, Brazilian soybean exports in January 2023 will be 1.31 million tons, which will be 0.2 million tons less than the result of the previous month. Soybean meal sales are expected to be 1.34 million tons, a total almost in line with December.

“There were 1.59 million tons of corn, as well as 296.4 thousand tons of soybeans, 275.3 thousand tons of soybean meal and 180.7 thousand tons of wheat prepared for shipment January 1-7 in the ports of the country,” – explained in the Association.
