The grass-roots ageing grains in the producing areas are insufficient, and farmers are generally reluctant to sell them, supporting the high prices of domestic buckwheat. However, the downstream demand is weak, and the actual transaction volume in the market is small. Wuchuan and Baotou’s new buckwheat are harvested around the end of the month, focusing on the new grains’ growth, yield, and quality.
