Canada’s Oilseed Harvest Is Almost Complete

Spread the news!

Farmers from the province of Saskatchewan, which is considered one of the key agro-regions of Canada, are approaching the end of the harvesting campaign of crops. As of the beginning of this month, all work is already 95% complete, which is 4% higher than last week and 11% higher than the same period last year.

According to available information, canola harvesting is 90% complete in the country, while soybean and oilseed flax harvesting has covered 68% of the plan for both crops.

The threshing of major cereals (winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, barley and oats), as well as legumes (lentils, peas and chickpeas) is fully completed.

At the same time, farmers who have not yet harvested flax hope that frosts will help to stop the resumption of oilseed growth caused by recent rainfall.
