China Is Increasing Imports of Oilseed Products

It is also noted that according to the results of August, China imported 707 thousand tons of vegetable oils, which is higher than in July (661 thousand tons). In particular, there was an increase in imports of palm oil up to 522 (450) thousand tons – the maximum figure for the last 8 months and sunflower oil – up to 26 (7) thousand tons.

Imports of oilseed meals also increased in August – up to 661 thousand tons against 487 thousand tons in the previous month. At the same time, a fairly high increase was recorded in the export of sunflower meal – up to 125 thousand tons against 53 thousand tons in July. In addition, China also increased imports of rapeseed meals in August – up to 216 (169) thousand tons.
