China’s sesame outlook – June’21

For the first four months, China has imported record arrivals; this is likely to result in the highest ever imports in the first half of the year.

China’s first-half imports are set to exceed 600,000 tons. Interestingly, Niger imports in China have already reached 170,000 tons, and this year, total imports can exceed 200,000 tons for the first time, creating an excess inventory of mix grade in China.
